A message from Phil:

I love living out here in the ocean, on Vinalhaven Island where my family has been since the 1700’s, and I enjoy writing about the experience of an island existence just as much.  The people and the place offer endless material and, while I am wonderfully busy with all sorts of things,  I try to make the most of it.
